The Nativity, a magnificent sculpture set of 42 divine figures and popular characters, attributed to Dionísio and António Ferreira and dating from the mid-18th century, is now at display in the “Nativity House”, where it used to be at Christmas.
Once again - and qualified by the conservation works it went through, made possible by the sponsorship of Grupo Edifer - visitors will be pleased to admire its exquisite draperies, and the expressiveness of the figures in a clear demonstration of the humanity fully expressed in Portuguese baroque Nativity scenes.
