Tiles of Ana Cordovil

The ceramist Ana Cordovil inspired herself in the patterns of the facade of the XIXth century Portuguese tiles, motifs that is recovering from several years now, lured by games of color, light and reflection that they give to our urban landscape. From these tiles, the artist produced an abecedarian, where each letter has a different pattern.

The works presented here resulted from a challenge integrated in the Room Ler + which the museum is stimulating, and it’s been planned talks with writers and researchers in this area.
