MNAz shows an important contemporaneous ceramic exhibition of the spanish artist Miquel Barceló, for whom ceramics is a way of paiting.

Through ceramics he feels the material transformation, brutal, visceral, like we still can find in african art. And yet, a paradox lies in these strong and rude pieces: their fragility. An evocation of Man’s ephemerality.

The exhibition also shows a group of bricks, which the artist worked giving them an animist character that suggests human faces, figures and races.

The exhibition, commissioned by Marta Sierra, includes recent works of the artist (2009/13), done in Maiorca, in an old brick kiln.
